PIWWD #2

People I Wish Weren't Dead
Installment #2

Jeff Buckley
born: November 17, 1966
deceased: May 29, 1997
cause of death: freak accidental drowning in the Wolf River caused by the wake of a tugboat passing by (please note: despite rumors to the contrary, medical examination and further evidence shows that there was nothing suspicious about his death - no intoxication or foul play of any kind.)
occupation: greatest vocalist in the history of the world
little-known-fact: Jeff suffered with bi-polar disorder (as do many brilliant and tortured artists). and he could sing 4 octaves...and sing them well. maybe you don't know what that means, but i can barely sing three and I'm a girl with a pretty good range.

As a singer, Jeff was just unlike anyone else. Many musicians (myself included) have tried to adopt his vocal stylings to no avail. I have yet to discover anyone who comes close to doing what he was able to do. His album "Grace" is one of my very favorite albums of all time. It was the only album he recorded. All his other albums, which are all brilliant, were released post mortem from rough recordings and live shows.

If you have never experienced Jeff Buckley's music, you have wasted your life up to this point. Don't waste any more of it.

**if you cannot stand to watch this entire video because your short and pathetic attention span will not allow it, skip to the last part...his voice is just ridiculous.

Impressive vocals for sure...nice control, but with cool grit. I think one of my favorite vocalists will always be Freddie Mercury. He had mad skills.
