what is so great about passion?
it stirs us to movement with intention and fervor. it throws us, sprawling, into a river of action, useless and groping until we find our feet.
at least, as i recall.
is passion something we grow out of? as we learn about darkness and failure and false hope and deceit and confusion, does the river dry up? is the rushing water choked to a trickle?
i'm going to choose "no" because the alternative is not something i am willing to accept. choosing "no" means there is a hope for renewal, a stirring of embers, a releasing of floodgates. choosing "no" means i can find the river again and throw myself in. choosing "no" means it isn't false and it never was.
here is a prayer in a blog. deal with it.
God. move. find freedom to encounter through this dry voice i am singing with today. if there is a river, throw me in it. throw them in it, too.
