tollroads.

i love the tollroad people. i realize that everyone else in the world has the fastrack transponder and never has to stop at the little tollbooths they zip by, but every morning and evening i get to interact with some of the friendliest people in orange county. tonight i noticed that one of the attendants, sarah i think her name is, had dyed her hair a vibrant shade of red. she giggled when i mentioned it and told me she was going to have to do it again because it was already fading. we talked about the incredible lightning on Friday night and how her dog barked at it like he had never seen lightning before. i don't think the car behind me was incredibly happy about our extended visit, but i certainly drove away smiling. i always drive away smiling. and that's why i won't get the transponder. these friendly people are every bit worth the extra quarter.

But what if it were an extra 50 cents? I mean really, how much are these people worth to you?

you probably made Sarah's day. She probably has the most boring job in the world...with people who are totally mean to her or don't even want to smile...

thank you for showing Sarah some love.
