there are not too many things in the world that strike true fear into my heart - being trapped in close spaces, being chased by a masked man with an axe, and recording my own music. saturday, i'm going to have to survive one of those three things, and i am, once again, terrified. what's the deal with fear, anyway? aren't we supposed to lose it after we've faced it? aren't we supposed to be able to talk ourselves out of it? is it terminal? chronic? will i always be afraid of this? i've invited peace in, but it doesn't seem interested. is there a way to FORCE peace in? i'm supposed to record music that i HAVEN'T EVEN WRITTEN yet.

i'm a really good poet. you just let me know if you need me to write a song.
Just think of all the people who will hear you sing! You could reach millions! Wait, that might not help.
I like this analogy: bravery is action in the presence of fear, just like faith is action in the presence of doubt.
jp, i wish you were serious because everything i write sounds like something you'd find in a Hallmark Store.
Erik, maybe i'll use that for a song.
Loisa,
Archie Gates: You're scared, right?
Conrad Vig: Maybe.
Archie Gates: The way it works is, you do the thing you're scared shitless of, and you get the courage AFTER you do it, not before you do it.
Conrad Vig: That's a dumbass way to work. It should be the other way around.
Archie Gates: I know. That's the way it works.
If you could please tell me where I can find Hallmark cards of that caliber, I would be much obliged. Just do what you do.
please don't let josh write for you...unless you want to sing about a t-rex
