poor-weather friend.

i'm awfully sentimental today. i want to hug everyone i've ever had any positive feeling for and tell them all the wonderful things there are about them. it's a rare mood for me, but it is october and the sun is quiet and the clouds are tall and i am wearing a sweater. if i had children, today i would make them hot chocolate and light candles and we would cuddle together on the floor under my grandmother's quilt and i would read them stories about the little tin soldier and the widow's broom and i'd do the voices just like my mother always did and make them giggle under the covers. and if the giggling didn't stop, we would sing at the top of our lungs "JOY JOY IN EVERY HEART" until we were laughing so hard we could't sing anymore. it would be a really good day.

song of the day, courtesy of David Wilcox:
"i'm dangerously romantic when the leaves are on the ground..."

The sun is quiet and the clouds are tall. I love that. I'm a sap for gloomy days and fanciful ways to put it. You're awesome.
