the greatest thing to end a day like yesterday and a mood like mine was to surround myself with four of the most beautiful children...to have one sit on my lap (although she's much too old for such things) and snuggle with me for at least fifteen minutes. to have another try to bait me into a wrestling match (and finally succeed...and actually win, i might add). to have yet another read me a story about katy the snowplow (which really didn't make a lot of sense because he can only read words like "cat" and "go"). and finally, to have one running from me squealing, giggling, and yelling "oh no wolisa!" as i closed in for the zerbert on the sweet little chubby tummy. there was no hot chocolate involved...no quilt or silly voices...but it was just right for me now. thanks, God, for knowing exactly what i need and when. and thanks for yesterday. that was awfully nice of you.ps - wind is fantastic.
