"first name, mr. middle name, period. last name, t."

i'd like to take this blog spot to pay some well-deserved respect to one of my heroes.

laurence tureaud, lovingly known by the world as Mr. T, has a new show premiering on tvland this wednesday, october 11 at 10pm. reality television at its finest, "I Pity the Fool" invites the world to watch as Mr. T does what Mr. T does best: be awesome. evidently he will be showing up on the scene of some real-life dilemmas in everyday small businesses, family disputes, etc to use his years of experience and wisdom to guide those in need to a higher standard of living.

if you are reading this in a sarcastic tone, you better stop yo jibba jabba because i sincerely adore this man and respect him for continuing to use his celebrity to better the community around him.

my favorite method of his to better the community? writing inspiring songs for kids on the streets. like so:

if this doesn't inspire you, check your pulse.

Mr. T was on kroq this morning on the kevin and bean show. it was fantastic. the man preached what the man knows and left no room for argument. at one point, bean asked him where all his "bling" went to. T fired back that it weren't no bling...tiffany's don't sell bling. he went on to explain that he wore that gold for two reasons: 1) gold was one of the gifts given to Jesus and if it's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for him, and 2) he could afford it. however, when Katrina hit the south, conviction hit Mr. T. he don't need to show all that mess when people can't afford they living. he says he wants people to see his heart of gold, instead. man, this guy is so bitchin. not a word i use often, but completely appropriate for this topic.

kevin responded to T's preaching by saying, "Mr T...possibly one of the greatest human beings on earth." and i have to say, i concur.
