those of us who are friends with kilgore trout will have some sort of reaction to the news that his creator and actual self passed away last night from brain injuries caused by an accidental fall a couple of weeks ago. you can love Kurt Vonnegut or hate him, but either reaction has to be born out of an appreciation for his brilliance and raw exhibition of opinion. few people are aware enough of what they are thinking to express it at all, much less express it so others can understand and partake. thank you, kurt, for adding something to this place. i'm sure you and mark twain are sharing a few jollies right now over the ironies of hell and its inhabitants. as you would say, "so it goes."
