it's ridiculous to try to write something potent enough to convey the significance of this woman. without hyperbole, she is the greatest woman alive. for real, though. i wish the world could know her...i wish they could even just encounter her for a few moments. her existance is soothing. i don't know anyone who has quite personified the call to servanthood like this woman has. and i've lived with her, known her backwards and forwards...i know it all and i can still say all this about her.happy birthday, momma. i arise and call you blessed.
it's this guy's birthday today, too. (this is usually what he looks like when he's talking to me.)
although i often treat him otherwise, he is quite a fantastic human being. i am continually (and pleasantly) surprised with his ideas, dreams, wisdom, and concern. over the last four years, he has become one of my favorite people and one of my closest friends. happy birthday, josh. you are worth celebrating.
it's also this lady's birthday.

hannah is one of those people that you hope never leaves your life once she has entered it. she is one of the most generous people i know. she has seen me through the hardest seasons of my life and always supported and loved me beyond what i deserved. we've seen each other through a lot, and i hope we see each other through a lot more.
happy birthday, banana. i love you and wish you were not so far away.
