jamboree.

this is probably my favorite Christmas song -- it's simple and perfect and comes straight from my favorite Christmas album (the only one that beats out Sufjan) which is a Starbucks collection of Christmas songs called "Hi Fidelity Holiday".

i know, i know. it's lame to put song lyrics in a blog, but i really love these and they kind of make Christmas for me, so deal.

Jingle Bell Jamboree
Keb' Mo'

Christmas time, it comes but once a year
bells are ringing and the family's all here
all the children want to help decorate the tree
and there's lots of nice presents under there for you and me
oh, santa clause is coming, it's a jingle bell jamboree

mama's in the kitchen, papa's in there to (yeah that's right)
well hidey, uncle bud, hidey hidey how are you?
we gonna play some more records and a few CDs
or you can go in the other room and see what's on TV
oh, santa clause is coming, it's a jingle bell jamboree

well it's alright if there's no stockings on the wall
'cause what matters most is peace on earth and good will to all
everybody's got something that a baby needs
they say the more you give, the more you recieve
don't worry if you can't give nothing at all
it's the state of mind that matters most of all
we'll all get together, let's all get together for a jingle bell jamboree
it's a jingle bell jamboree

we go house to house, singing
come all ye faithful...it's a jingle bell jamboree
i'm dreaming of a...jingle bell jamboree
silent night, holy...jingle bell jamboree
it's a jingle bell jamboree

My favorite Christmas song is on my cell phone message...sung by a beautiful family just in the nick of time on Christmas day...
