aura.

the third definition for "aura" in Websters book of words is as follows:
aura
noun
1. a sensation (as of a cold breeze or bright light) that precedes the onset of certain disorders such as a migraine attack or epileptic seizure

what it is is this little twinkly light in your visual peripheral (looks a lot like the picture above) that gets consistantly brighter and larger until you completely lose vision in one of your eyes (this takes about half an hour). that's about the time the pain hits at the back of your head, similar to what it would feel like if the inside of your skull was on fire, followed by a fever and chills that make you think perhaps your skull actually IS on fire. the most convenient time for this to take place would be when you're babysitting your boss's three children for three days and needing to wake up at 4:30am to set up a photo shoot for your other boss. thankfully, this is exactly what transpired last night. it's because i broke all the damn mirrors...i'm sure of it. if anyone has any happy mojo to send my way, i could use some.
