one of my childhood dreams came true today. i am now a nanny.
i had actually let go of this dream, not because children drive me crazy, but because parents drive me crazy. the coolest, most relaxed people can become basket cases when it comes to other people caring for their children. but these are great parents and great people. so this is great. and the children? you guessed it. great.
lexy is two. she is brilliant. it is amazing, already, to watch her figuring things out. she's going to be dangerous, i can tell. brilliant children are always the dangerous ones...you realize early on that they just might in fact be smarter than you. and that can be terrifying. but, at this point, i could use a little danger in my life.
lucas is three months old. he is a dream. he only cries when he's hungry or sleepy...two things that are easily taken care of. otherwise he's easily entertained and somehow finds a way to smile continuously, even beneath the weight of his chubby little cheekies.
best part of the day? as i was leaving, lexy went to julie (mommy) and said, "mommy, isa no go."
*sigh* don't worry, lex. isa will be back.

good thing SIMS helped you practice taking care of children.
That family sounds incredible. I wish I knew them. You're so lucky.
